Loving Dispatch so far, although as someone named Robert, this scene felt like a personal attack.

Sorry, I can't work today. I finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 last night, and it's all just a little too much.

2026 reading thread!

#1 - The Unfinished Harauld Hughes by Richard Ayoade

A fictional account of making a documentary on the lost work of a famous playwright. Really enjoy everything Ayoade does, and the audiobook had an exceptional cast. Felt like a string of bizarre character sketches.

2026 game thread!

#1 - BALL x PIT

Every couple months I get the itch for a deck builder, and I also love Breakout, so this really hit the spot.

The progression was great too. I wasn't a huge fan of the base building, although I appreciated the idea.

Giving my mom my old Steam Deck. She's not used to controllers anymore, so trying to find some simple beginner-friendly games for her to try. Starting with:

- Is This Seat Taken?
- Luck be a Landlord
- Donut County
- Fantasy Life i (this one might be too much for her)

Would love suggestions!

Elden Ring Nightreign is the first, and likely last, FromSoftware game where I've gotten 100% of the achievements!

I've been spending the last couple of months going back and finishing some big games I've dropped in the last couple of years. Finished FFVII: Rebirth and Alan Wake 2 and back into Claire Obscur now.

Got a new pen on my birthday this weekend!

Kaweco Student. Writes very smooth, cool 70s look, reasonably priced (relative to other fountain pens).
