When care gets lost in translation: Clinical pathways and outcomes for people with aphasia who need an interpreter. Presentation by: Dr Kathleen Mellahn National quantitative data and qualitative insights from multidisciplinary healthcare professionals and interpreters will be presented, spanning the hyperacute, acute, and early sub-acute phases of stroke recovery. The findings highlight disparities in care and outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse people with aphasia and explore mechanisms contributing to these inequities.
