Miranda Rose In the past few weeks we have been celebrating the official retirement of our beloved Director, Emeritus Professor Miranda Rose. The Aphasia CRE was Miranda's vision and she worked tirelessly towards the aim of an Australia wide collaboration betweeen multi-disciplinqary professionals to advance the research around aphaisa to better support people with aphasia and their familes and friends and the achievements under her guidance during the last 7 years have been nothing but amazing.

When care gets lost in translation: Clinical pathways and outcomes for people with aphasia who need an interpreter. Presentation by: Dr Kathleen Mellahn National quantitative data and qualitative insights from multidisciplinary healthcare professionals and interpreters will be presented, spanning the hyperacute, acute, and early sub-acute phases of stroke recovery. The findings highlight disparities in care and outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse people with aphasia and explore mechanisms contributing to these inequities.
