one cool thing i saw is that the portable model has like an official tate mode like the wonderswan but then i remembered i can just do that comfortably on my vita lol. there’s definitely other cheaper methods too like using your phone or a switch flip grip.

ive been looking into the evercade systems lately and its made me evaluate people’s relationships with “thing on a shelf” syndrome, including my own. on one hand, i get tapping into the market of providing physical copies of retro games without price gouging, but i don’t really know who it’s for.

controller so good i got a second variant of it. heard that the 2.4g model has less lag than the standard bt model even when wired so i had to give it a shot (plus the theming is really nice)
it did feel a bit less laggy, though i never felt the bt model was ever that laggy? pretty neat still

ah, i'm so happy to see positive feedback about the loc of karous on steam...! it's kind of rare for reviews to comment on translation quality. i know arcade game fans don't usually focus that much on story/text, but i wanted to do what i could to make it as good as possible

it’s a shame that yakuza 2 ps2 is so fun to play because it is such an overtly racist game that even someone who is not keyed into the racial tensions between china, south korea and japan would probably feel that it’s a little much. i can’t recommend it without like a massive fucking asterisk.

i have discovered the magic that is atwiki, and i have been getting a lot better at learning search terms in japanese, so this isn’t as much of a problem for me now. it’s just a shame that resources in my native lang of english are just so… subpar? hard to pin down the specific type of bad this is.
there is a sort of respect i have for these types of videos, as they are great resources for learning about certain niches that aren’t easily searchable. but a lot of the learning has to be done by your own external research that branches off the video. the youtubers input is usually junk.
