Louisianian that’s too focused on LSU, Saints, , fruit trees, kerning, 🇮🇸, ISO 8601, and space.

I mirrored some of the sports accounts I've been missing most on Bluesky.

Hopefully X doesn't kill scrapers before these accounts finally, officially set up on 🦋.

My updated king cake tier list.

As always, king cakes are a universal good. I'll take a king cake over no king cake any day.

Come on @lsubaseballdata-2.bsky.social, y’all couldn’t update the background image for this year? The ads on the outfield wall are a giveaway.

Not sure if I missed this addition earlier in the year, but I’m 90% certain the benches at the top of the dugout are new.

I wish there were release notes for Alex Box.

For opening day, it seems only fitting to post audio of my hootin’ and hollerin’ at the end of the LSU v Arkansas semifinal game last season overlaid on the broadcast.

Bluesky added post notifications last year after the CWS, but better late than never. Can’t wait to use it for @lsubaseball-mirror.bsky.social game updates this season.
I'm hopeful Bluesky will support post notifications — I miss being able to glance at my phone and seeing LSUBaseball's most recent posts/game updates.

over a year ago, i gave a talk at the xoxo conference about a mural, a mcdonald’s, and a man. (but it was also secretly about life, and legacy, and meaning.)

finally, i’m blogging the full story, with behind-the-scenes details, and a video of the talk.

My photo (top) is from January 2024 and even though the POV doesn’t match Rúv’s supplied image, you can tell how dramatic the erosion has been so far.

Also note the genius standing inside the cave — they’re either very brave or very stupid or both.

Puerto Rico hasn't had reliable power in a decade.

The grid sends occasional surges through the wires that fry appliances.

Electricity rates are among the highest in the entire U.S.

Heat waves are getting intense in the summer, and outages mean A/C is no guarantee for an aging population.
