So the #routemaster is benched, I have been asked to do a dio for one of the authors of the book detailing the last flight of a 617 sqn Lanc.
The difficulty is that it is a tallboy Lanc and kits are few and far between, still I have found one! I also have a tallboy so result 🤣

Some progress on the #routemaster engine, nearly completed, additional parts from CTM models PE sheets for the kit and scratch building, a lot of reference to an old decker in the yard to get it looking “lived in”

A few more from the DC3 at RAF Metheringham visitor Centre. Speaking to the gents there, anyone wanting to visit to take detailed pics are more than welcome. It’s painted as RAF on the starboard side USAF 14th Troop Carrier Squadron based at RAF Barkston Heath on the port

I think I can safely say it is basic, no interior etc, that said it is a well made, undistorted kit with functional surface detailing. Decals are a little thick but this is 1973 GDR technology. Photo shows all the components and instructions on one side of A4
