That went better than it might’ve, cutting out the radiator grille to replace with PE

The external cab and radiator area of the routemaster, a small hole has been drilled into the radiator grille to allow a piercing saw to be used to cut out the moulded grille, following the red line, to allow replacement with a photo etched part The end result showing the photo etch grille in place, this will allow the radiator to be viewed as in the real thing

A good couple of days on the #routemaster seats fitted, panels for the conductors area completed. The inner geek (aka professional bus driver) has spotted one error that would prevent the bus being legal for use. Sadly I can’t do much about it in this case 🤣

The #routemaster is progressing slowly, all lower deck seats made and half have the decals applied, they look very realistic. Next jobs, finish the seats and fix, then start on the back section.

So the #routemaster is benched, I have been asked to do a dio for one of the authors of the book detailing the last flight of a 617 sqn Lanc.
The difficulty is that it is a tallboy Lanc and kits are few and far between, still I have found one! I also have a tallboy so result 🤣
