If you submit your grants last minute, you're in good company. For the 2005 NIH Pioneer grant, half of the applications were submitted in the last two days. The red bars indicate the awardees. One awardee submitted 8 minutes before the deadline.

Big pubpeer fan. Its excellent browser plugins make it the best tool for the so needed post-publication peer review. But it’s mostly used to flag misconduct: a plugin highlight is usually bad news, and I hesitated posting constructive remarks on good papers. Hope this will boost its original purpose
