Kareoke - Hurt is a really decisive song to choose :)

My TWSBI Eco started leaking. After a month of using a ballpoint I cracked. 50 minutes trying out pens I got the Pilot Custom 823. The Pelikan M800 was a bit nicer but I couldn't justify the price. Also picked up a Preppy for notes at home.

I paid income taxes on my RSUs from Klarna and at the time there was no way to sell them to cover that tax. No way to sell them at all, except on the grey market. I just calculated the current value of the vested shares is almost exactly the about of income tax I paid on the RSUs. Yay?

We use Google's Config Connector (KCC) at work. Changes can only be made with a merge to main branch. Which is infuriating. We convinced the infra team to give us a sandbox project, but no KCC connection so iteration time was still shit. So I set up KCC on minikube and ... it just works.

Maybe the only reason I want a house in the woods is to listen to wumpscut on full volume.

BMAD isn't it. We aren't there yet. AI coding agents are still peer programmers :(.

Claude sonnet v4 blows gemini-2.5-flash out of the water. Pity it is so expensive. Going to try deepseek 3.1 next.

I'm not sure where gemini learned how to create and run experiments to see if an approach works or not - but whatever it learned is messy as fuck.

It's almost heartening to see that Google's Gemini has learned the 'final-final-final' strategy of filenames. segmented, segmented-improved, segmented-further-improved, segmented-final-improved.

Using gemini to one-shot code to use a virtual try-on model to project a segmented piece of clothing onto a genAI generic female model. Not great :/.

trying to use Gemini CLI and BMad to validate an idea. It fails to understand how to import local python modules. WTF mate?

Too many games to play. And most of them are RPGs and take forever to finish!

I used to think I was smart. Then I started to learn how interfaces and how types implement interfaces in golang. And now I'm beginning to doubt myself.

I hate cardio exercise. But it is working. I feel fitter, it's getting easier physically, and my stress levels are more manageable.

Ideas for using TDD with coding agents: hide the tests behind an MCP. The agent cannot change the tests to make them pass.

OK, getting the hang of the combat. Starting to warm up to Mass Effect 1. But all the walking is annoying. Maybe I played too many linear adventure games recently.

Jesus. Playing Mass Effect 1 for the first time and it is booooring. Might just turn down the difficulty to focus on the story.

Thank you, mostly, the voters of Australia.

Lots. Lots of people for a very little fire fire Valborg.

I also realised the other night that 90s popular club music in Europe was quite different to what I experienced in Australia.

Danced at a nightclub to the song from the rave scene in Blade. Yassss

The USA jumped to disappearing (their own) people faster than I thought.

Side note, an above average and bluetooth independent music system at home has rekindled my music listening.

New Buffalo still manages to bring me to tears. And summon memories of The Bakery. Sally Seltmann is an under appreciated, but still successful, artist.
