Issued forty years ago this month, Ant's very first release with Cherry Red was the original Harvest of the Heart compilation, which featured a selection of tracks from the first four albums in the Private Parts & Pieces series.

Released on this day in October 2019, Strings of Light appeared in the Official Progressive Albums Chart for that month where it appeared alongside releases by a couple of other familiar names.

Released on this day in 2016, Private Parts & Pieces V - VIII brought together the second four albums in the series (Twelve, Ivory Moon, Slow Waves Soft Stars and New England) along with Private Parts & Extra Pieces II, an additional CD of previously unreleased material.

August 1992 saw the release of the eighth album in the Private Parts & Pieces series New England, which featured guest appearances by Martin Robertson and Joji Hirota and artwork depicting the Battle of Bunker Hill by Peter Cross.

Fifty five years ago today in 1970 Ant began recording home demos of some of the new material he had written. Which Way the Wind Blows, God If I Saw Her Now and most of Henry: Portraits From Tudor Times amongst others were composed during this period.

Released 40 years ago today, Twelve was the fifth album in the Private Parts & Pieces series which consisted of twelve pieces for 12-string guitar played in an unusual tuning reflecting the different months of the year. The album also featured artwork by Peter Cross.
