Join us at WA's first TELedvisors meetup on 11 July 2025 at ECU Mt Lawley to explore AI and assessment challenges. Pecha Kucha Format: 20 slides × 20 seconds each = 6 minutes 40 seconds total. Slides auto-advance, keeping presentations dynamic and engaging. Presentations should focus on practical examples or case studies of meeting the challenge of AI in assessment in their work area. Great post from @marcwatkins.bsky.social thinking through the downstream consequences of expanding the use of survellience tools like progress tracking in response to genAI in education
Faculty are burning out not just because of AI, but because we're trying to maintain educational models that were designed for a different era. The path forward isn't more sophisticated tracking of keystrokes, but more purposeful and meaningful engagement with students about why and how they write.

I was just told that I have to remove “climate” from the title of an ongoing grant if I want to keep it. And publications from that grant cannot include “climate” and other forbidden words. I can’t believe I’m writing this from the United States of America. #AcademicSky
