Belfast is now the most congested city in the UK. We can do better.

The Ravenhill Road cycle lane consultation is a real opportunity to create safer, cleaner streets. Young people’s voices must be central to this. I’ve asked the DfI to consult with local schools.

Let's build a cleaner Belfast.

I raised concerns at Louth County Council about continued use of X, following serious safeguarding issues linked to its AI tool, Grok. Until this is fully reviewed, I believe we must act responsibly especially when it comes to images of children and young people.

Louth County Council has been asked to reconsider the use of social media platform ‘X’ following the controversy over AI tool, Grok.

Good to visit the newly refurbished Better Gym at Connswater.

£600k invested in modern facilities for East Belfast, supporting health, wellbeing and accessible community spaces.

Local investment done right!

XTwitter and Grok are enabling child sexual abuse material. Ask your local representatives and parties when they are leaving.

There's only one social media app that has led to me having to make statements to the PSNI for harassment, twice.

Good riddance to X, an absolute cesspool of far-right fascists, obsessive transphobes and nonses sexualising children.
We've launched an investigation into X over Grok sexualised imagery.

We've opened a formal investigation into X under the Online Safety Act, to determine whether it has complied with its duties to protect people in the UK from content that is illegal in the UK.

The owner of Twitter says it's supposed to be a free speech app, but far-right/fascist ideas are the only show in town and it has ended up being a playground for nonses.

Time to go too 🫡

All journo/ media can find me here, on my facebook page, Insta, tiktok
We’re leaving X.

Not for clicks.
Not for politics.
For safety, democracy and basic responsibility.

We won’t stay on a platform that fails children, enables deepfake abuse and fuels disinformation.

But this is not an exit from the conversation.
It’s a move to better spaces.

Come with us.

Sinn Féin must come clean on fox hunting

They voted against banning it in the Dáil, just as they have opposed a ban in the Assembly. When given the chance to end this cruelty, they choose to defend it.

You can't claim to stand for animal welfare while voting to keep bloodsports legal.

Shameful.

Belfast joins cities across the globe in standing in Solidarity with the oppressed, for peace and justice 🇵🇸

Glad to support the flying of the Palestinian flag tonight, we won't take lectures from parties who take all expenses paid trips from the genocidal Israeli government

The Supreme Court ruling on mandatory Christian worship in NI schools is a major step forward.

Huge respect to the father and daughter who took this case.

No child should be pushed into a worldview that isn’t theirs. It’s time for modern, balanced and pluralistic RE in NI.

The greyhound racing industry here is unregulated, unaccountable and on the run because they know the public are onto them.

Where are the official stats for dogs killed and injured on the tracks in Northern Ireland? Why are the Alliance Party providing them cover?
Cllr Anthony Flynn called for a full ban on greyhound racing at Belfast City Council. But Alliance watered it down - replacing a ban with “regulation” of an unregulated, cruel industry. The Greens stand for animal welfare, not compromise. #BanGreyhoundRacing

I've been speaking to the media today about the tragic story of Rosie the sighthound, who had to be put to sleep last year after suffering from an anxiety-induced stroke caused by fireworks. It's long past time the regulations around fireworks were looked at again.
Belfast councillor Anthony Flynn has now called for an urgent review of the Fireworks Law after the incident

Greyhound racing in Northern Ireland is a welfare crisis hiding in plain sight. No regulation. No oversight. No justice for the dogs harmed or discarded.

I’ve submitted a motion to Belfast City Council to ban greyhound racing.

Why are the DUP and the TUV so obsessed with other people's genitals?

It's weird, it's creepy and it needs to be called out.
September 23, 2025 at 7:51 PM
The real reasons the DUP are spending so much time talking about useless culture wars is because they are 1. Terrified of the TUV and 2. Totally and utterly incompetent in government.

The problem isn't pronouns, it's poverty, pollution, and power.

Good to see the UK government finally make the decision to recognise the state of Palestine 🇵🇸

However, it's frankly the bare minimum at a time when the UK still arms the genocidal Israeli government. There should be nothing short of a full arms embargo! #FreePalestine

Hearing local political reps spout their own ideas of the motive behind Charlie Kirks murder is galling and comes across so disingenuous, especially when no one has been caught or charged.

Political violence in all its forms is terrifying, and I fear where the US is heading.

🌍 Great news for our communities in Ormiston, Balmoral, and Collin!

At committee tonight, we agreed that by March 2026, 23k more households will have access to glass recycling in phase two of Belfast City Council's glass recycling expansion.

Any questions, let me know 👇

Violent mobs of racist scumbags attacking folks in the street in East Belfast and causing mayhem for weeks, and our 5 MLAs and local MP have gone missing. Where's the political leadership?!

How long before someone is very seriously injured or killed by these thugs?

Exciting to visit the Strand Cinema today and see progress on its redevelopment 👏

Halfway there after major works (incl. 10 months of asbestos removal). Funded by:

A huge win for East Belfast! 🎥

SDLP & Alliance cruising around Lough Neagh filming “concern” videos… the same parties that pushed the Going for Growth disaster that destroyed it. Nothing says irony like arsonists turning up to watch the fire they lit.

NI’s self-proclaimed Christian politicians are tripping over themselves to block medical care for a few injured Gaza children, citing “protecting our own.”

The same healthcare system they’ve gutted for decades.

The hypocrisy of these jokers is staggering.

If it's not Drag Queens, then it's Trans people. If it's not Refugees, then it's someone else.

The DUP will jump on every single culture war going, just to distract from the fact their Ministers are presiding over record levels of child poverty and a housing crisis.

Where's the concern from these folks about violence against women & girls? Where's the outrage or the protests when a woman is murdered by her partner?

If only those expressing faux outrage actually got exercised about real issues, rather than drag queens reading story books 🙄
