Trump's a disaster.
Your father not wearing a condom 9 months before you were born was also a disaster.
Don’t you have anything better to do with your miserable life than troll Black women, you racist POS?

That's it. Those are your choices

A bunch of leftists trying to run Schumer out of the Senate only to watch Dan Goldman whip AOC in the Senate primary
The change.org petition demanding Chuck Schumer step down as Minority Leader has now reached 50,000 signatures.

I love how anything short of giving him every demand he makes is “sabotage”, yet all you cosplayers screeching about how voting for Harris is voting for the Holocaust weren’t sabotaging her candidacy and enabling her opponent.

I’d love to hear this chaos agent who spends 24/7 bashing Democrats & pushing for an impeachment that’ll never happen explain how they’ll get the votes in the GOP House or how 20+ members of the party that blocked witness testimony & did crossword puzzles during the 1st “trial” will vote to convict.

It's tough to understand how we got stuck in this cycle where every time a Democratic president does as much as they can with the trifecta they come into office with, the electorate breaks it up in the midterms, then elects a GOP president with a trifecta who dismantles their accomplishments.

Bush inherited a surplus & turned it into a multi-trillion dollar deficit, started a war based on lies about WMDs & destroyed the economy.
There’s not enough space to describe what happened in either of Trump’s presidencies but this never-ending cycle definitely matches the quote about insanity.

Clinton was the only president to balance the budget.
Bush left office in a near depression & Obama fixed the economy & passed the ACA.
With a slim House majority & a 50-50 Senate, Biden got more legislation passed through reconciliation & with bipartisan support than any Congress in years.

There’s no excuse for not voting & Harris was on the ballot.
It was a combination of racism, misogyny & disinformation that led to Trump winning.
Any Democrat would’ve made a better POTUS & millions didn’t consider the consequences of refusing to vote, such as:

bsky.app/profile/jasm...
There are countless things they didn’t consider:
-Reconciliation bills
-Judiciary
-Letting Thomas & Alito retire
-ACA
-Trade wars
-Our diplomatic relations with Canada, Panama, Greenland & Denmark
-The cabinet
-The deficit
-NATO
-Ukraine
-Project 2025
-Medicaid, Medicare, SS, SNAP, TANF, the VA…🤦🏾‍♀️

I agree 100%, but I said the same thing in 2024 when Trump won the GOP nomination.
I thought the electorate couldn’t possibly be so fucking stupid to elect him over Harris or let the GOP keep the House after the 118th, but too many treat voting like a chore at best rather than their civic duty.

All I can say is absolutely NO ONE should have to be coaxed or coddled to vote. If this timeline with a racist dictator as the President, who is currently holding food benefits as ransom, is not enough for you to say never again IAM VOTING. That’d be unfortunate.. and fcking crazy.

And you actually believe that all the Democratic secretaries of state in the battleground states & the SOS Shapiro appointed, whose jobs are overseeing elections somehow missed this?
GMAFB🙄
It’s pathetic how you can’t just admit that non-voting leftists who boasted about not voting didn’t vote.

And NONE of the Democratic secretaries of state in AZ, NC, WI, MI & NV figured this out, even though it’s their job to oversee elections?
Math doesn’t lie.
2024 turnout was lower than 2020 & it cost us the election & we all know which voters didn’t show up.
Believe what you want.
Don’t expect me to.
Ok. So people voted Trump for Prez but voted democrat down ballot 👌 You run with what your going with and I will remain over here and die on this hill.

Whoever’s in charge of scheduling those “protests”/rallies should schedule them for when early voting starts through Election Day at polling stations & wherever there are ballot boxes since that seems to be the only way to get a certain demographic group to actually show up.

If they could really rig the election, they would've done the same in the battleground state Senate races, several of which were decided by slim margins.
Slotkin won by 0.3%, Rosen by <2% & Baldwin by <1%.
Why wouldn't they rig those races & swing district races for the House if they could?

No, they didn't.
2020 turnout was much higher than 2024 & leftists spent 2024 boasting about how they wouldn't vote for Biden, then Harris.
5/7 secretaries of state in the battlegrounds were Dems, 1 was appointed by Shapiro & GA's was Raffensperger, who turned Trump in for his "find me votes" call.

It's ridiculous how much more criticism is being directed at Dems than the GOP, including the 8 who voted for cloture.
The GOP controls every branch & haven't once negotiated in good faith & as stated in this video, the people bashing Dems aren't even the ones suffering because of the GOP shutdown.

I teach an AP US Government & Politics course & the bonus question on yesterday's quiz was:

If the President, Vice President, Speaker, President pro tempore of the Senate, and the entire cabinet died simultaneously, who would become president?

I'm grading papers & this is my favorite answer.

Might as well call them "ives" since they took progress out of the word.
REAL progressives would never risk letting a Republican win, especially 1 as bad as Trump & they would've taken into consideration possible reconciliation bills, the judiciary, domestic/foreign policy, tariffs, ICE raids, etc.

Democrats didn't waste 2 years when they had a trifecta; they had 2 of the most productive years in terms of legislation passed despite having a slim House majority & control of a 50-50 Senate.
The GOP filibustered the creation of a committee, so the House took it up.

Between MAGA & non-voting leftists, 2024 was a political pincer movement against the Dems.
There couldn't have been an easier choice, but we're stuck in a cycle where after Dems clean up the GOP's mess, voters repeat their mistake & vote for another Republican or stay home.
bsky.app/profile/jasm...
Whenever the GOP is in power, they try to slash funding for SS, Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, TANF, the VA, dismantle the ACA, balloon the deficit to pay for tax cuts, strip women of our rights & make it more challenging to vote, yet people keep electing them, even if they’re a rapist & a felon.

My pinned post/thread is about this & how the VRA of 1965 was the last straw for the majority of white voters
1964 was a wave election where LBJ won nearly 60% of the white vote, but he still lost 5 Democratic stronghold states in the Bible Belt because of the CRA of 1964.
bsky.app/profile/jasm...
The last Democrat to win the majority of the white vote was LBJ in 1964.
With a Democratic trifecta & a large moderate Republican faction in Congress, LBJ was able to get the Voting Rights Act of 1965 passed, but in the 1966 midterms, Democrats lost 40 House seats, 3 Senate seats & 8 governorships.🧵
