Yeah you have to be quick with those things. I found someone selling the Bone Clones Kenyanthropus skull for $130 on eBay and I grabbed it immediately. They were also selling the afarensis skull and it sold within a few days.

Oh was there an OH 8 model that you were looking at but someone else grabbed it? If so I think I know the one you’re talking about. I haven’t purchased anything from that seller though.

Yeah. I have quite a few Bone Clones models but I’m trying to find some cheaper options, mostly 3d printed models. I’ve also found some good used Bone Clones models for sale for cheaper on eBay, but there aren’t too many of those.

Yeah. Herto is on my list of skulls to collect. The Bone Clones model is very expensive so I would love to find a good 3d model to print instead.

The Herto skull didn’t work out he said with the file he had.

It did. I just finished painting it.

Yeah. He told me that he’ll see if he can get a good print out of it. I haven’t heard back from him in a little bit, so we’ll see. The guy who uploaded the scans made a video of a 3d print he made of it and it looked pretty good, so it looks promising.

Wow it looks great! I’ve talked with the guy and I have my own on the way right now. He’s also looking into printing the Herto skull for me.

That is the benefit of having many skulls. We can take all the pictures we want.

It’s a cool bug I would probably still try to touch it.

I’ve been working on an article on Denisovans and the whole Homo juluensis thing, but I keep having to redo it. Of course it’s when I’m trying to write an extensive summary on a species we know very little about that we start learning more and more and more. Either way it’s an incredible discovery.
