Alternatively no smart devices at all, make it dumb, make it reliable, make sure you need to activate your senses for it
smart devices are mostly ridiculous but smart bulbs have use cases that they fill better than alternatives tbh. like, there's fancy alarm clock things that gradually light up to gently wake you but you can do the same thing with a $20 smart bulb
