I went to the #handsoff protest in my area of the suburbs today, and despite rain and temps in the 40s the turnout was way better than I expected! I have a little more hope now.

I was just reminded of this story I did for RA. This one was such a pleasure - partly because we got to go into the connection of sound systems and music, across different localities, back to the roots (including Lekentle Mohlala from SA and their decolonial, pan-African message).
I recorded a DJ mix last night, after not having electricity for most of the weekend, something a little different than where I’ve been musically lately. It’s for a locally run series, and I can’t wait to share in a couple of weeks.
