On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

In the past year, Trump has promised...
-$5000 stimulus checks via "DOGE dividend"
-$2000 stimulus checks via "tariff dividend"
-$1000+ checks via "savings" from expiring ACA subsidies

So far, no checks have materialized.

Something is deeply awry with a nation that can give a popular vote majority to a moral degenerate who did not hide his authoritarian plans. But we shouldn’t act as though public opinion hasn’t shifted since the 2024 election.
