A @karavanpress.bsky.social @karinamszczurek.bsky.social Saturday feast. I was happily glued to my seat for a thoughtfully curated writers' morning. Loved the moving and memorable Andre Brink tribute by @pennyhaw.bsky.social. As usual, I bought a clutch of Karavan books.

This is an incredible production. The audience today leaped to their feet at the end. I def saw some people leaving the theatre crying.

We launched THE FOURTH BOY by Andrew Robert Wilson in his hometown of Calitzdorp on Friday. The novel is set mostly in the Klein Karoo and is an exceptional addition to its literary landscape. If you are heading there (or anywhere) on the N2, make sure to get a copy at Liberty Books!

A happy Joelle Searle at the @exclusivebooks.bsky.social (Cavendish) launch of her debut novel, Odette. That's @gailgil.bsky.social, her discussant, posing for @pennyhaw.bsky.social. The guests loved the wartime Paris theme.

The Bluesky glee chatter makes me think of how the mood lifts when the boss leaves the room. Or when it's back to work in January and you're running around saying Happy New Year to everyone. It's an nb buzz. We're going to need this space and focused, wise, positive people.
