Today we definitely ended the field season of our @bugnet.bsky.social experimental sites in @slfdavos.bsky.social. What a year - with such a great team of students this was one of my best field seasons ever! Thanks @bota-jb.bsky.social, Carole, Ida, Carla, Sevi, Flo and Irene for the great summer!

#Climatechange is causing #marmots to move, but not far: this is the conclusion of a recent study by #SLF biologist @annekempel.bsky.social. She investigated the altitude at which most marmots currently live and compared her findings with data from 1982.

🦫 Climate change has had only a minor impact on marmots near Davos – for now! Using a 40-year-old dataset, we resurveyed marmots along an altitudinal gradient. They now live ~86 m higher, but range margins are unchanged. More here: www.slf.ch/de/news/klim...
