This is an executive order that lays the groundwork for sending homeless people and people with mental illness to concentration camps to be "civilly committed." It was never going to stop with immigrants.

This is horrifying beyond words.

I am glad people are fighting for Kilmer Abrego Garcia’s good character against the Trump Admin’s lies. But you know what—due process is a right due to us all (even the bad people). Our government when it makes decisions about our life and our liberty should make sure to get it right.

Vote no.
Louisianians are voting today on a constitutional amendment that would give lawmakers much more power to send children to adult court - & potentially adult prisons. One proponent in the legislature said: "Some of these kids are already lost when they're two years old."

This is such an important bill, and a good example of what blue states can do right now.
A new Connecticut bill would ban businesses from supplying drugs and equipment for executions, revoking licenses for those that violate the law. If passed, it would be the first of its kind in the U.S.

Next to filling judicial vacancies, this is the most important thing Biden can do in the final months of his presidency. Commute everyone's sentence on federal death row. We don't have to guess what Trump will do otherwise. He showed us in 2019-20.
