Bark beetle predisposition assessed via EO 🛰️ in the eastern Alps.
- NDWI was the most consistent predictor; downslope index and canopy structure (GEDI) added value.
- Models transferred well across South Tyrol, supporting regional risk mapping.

– Norway spruce dominates regeneration (67%), but only 26% of plots meet targets.
– Browsing affects 25% of seedlings, especially Rowan, Willow, and Silver fir.
Management should promote species diversity and control browsing.
