I’ve always wanted to do Hourly Comics Day, but I kinda got stun locked on how to approach it. BUT, happy I did it finally, next year I can get better!
Hourly Comics Day part 1, featuring four panels from 7 to 10 am. They are very quickly drawn scribbles Panel 1 is me sleeping in bed with my dog Panel 2 is me, still in bed, but playing games on my phone all sleepy eyed Panel 3 is me sleepily showering, bracing one arm against the shower wall Panel 4 is me holding way too many tumbleweeds, a chaotic mess of tangled circles, while I was doing yardwork Hourly Comics Day part 2, featuring five panels from 11 am to 5 pm. They are very quickly drawn scribbles In panel 1, I went to lunch with three other people to dim sum, and I’m inhaling char siu bao like Kirby. The people are my grandma, mom, and uncle Panel 2, I triumphantly hold up a paper sorter in the aisle of a thrift store, my mom clapping at my find Panels 3-5 are silly panels about my dad showing me all his house projects, repeating the same pose while pointing at his trimmed front yard bushes, repaired baseboard heating units, and his favorite show on his tiny tv, Everybody Loves Raymond (we watched 4 episodes before I went home) Hourly Comics Day part 3, featuring four panels from 5 pm to 12 am. They are very quickly drawn scribbles In panel 1, I sit on my couch with my dog and draw on an iPad from 5-8 pm In panel 2 I sit on my couch with my dog and eat dinner while watching Game Grumps In panel 3 I sit on my couch with my dog, clutching a pillow to my chest and watching VFX Artists React In panel 4 I’m laying in bed, listening to music and imagining my OCs in scenarios as I fall asleep
