The Tasmanian government has introduced legislation to parliament to end greyhound racing by mid-2029.
In August, the government announced it would stop funding greyhound racing, effectively putting an end to it. This legislation takes this a step further to see the industry officially banned.

Heartbroken to confirm Dr Mu’ath Abu Rakba, a skilled, compassionate vet with @sulalaanimalsaver.bsky.social, has been killed. He disappeared last week trying to return to his home in Gaza.

After being visited multiple times by authorities, Farm Transparency Project investigators returned to Andgar Piggery as well as other properties owned by the same company. This is what they found.
