All of a sudden from the distant recesses of my brain, I’m remembering a poem I learned at Secondary School.
It’s called Sea Fever & I think it’s by John Masefield?
I must go down to the sea again,
To the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship
And a star to steer her by.
So lovely!

A bit of watercolour fun today, inspired by this beachscape I photographed in Cumbria, UK, earlier this year. As a total amateur I found it tricky to accurately capture all the lines, curves and textures, but it’s an impression at least, and fun to try.
