Our meals are simple, but they’re made with intention. That’s what gets us through.

I don’t have a perfect kitchen, but I do have a plan. Meal planning gives me sanity in a sensory-overloaded house.

I’m not here for perfection. I’m here for slow mornings, bubbling jars, and food my kids can actually digest.

My sourdough starter is officially alive and thriving. I didn’t expect it to feel this healing, but it’s like a fresh start—on the counter.

I’m in month 1 of my bariatric program. No surgery yet, but I’m already facing the emotional weight I’ve been carrying.

Today’s reminder: healing isn’t always pretty. Sometimes it’s a bite of food while hiding from your toddler’s tantrum. I see you, mama.

Just dropped a new podcast episode:
“How I Detoxed My Kids’ Routine—Starting with Diapers.”
Because it doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to start.

I remember the moment I stopped buying diaper cream and made my own.
It was the first time I felt like I had control over what touched my kids' skin.

Penelope would eat the entire bag of Grüns gummies if I let her.
Henry won’t touch them.
But Mary Ruth’s? I drop it in his drink and boom—done.
Mom wins come in small doses.

My 8-year-old is autistic and super sensory about taste, so the fact that he drinks Mary Ruth’s liquid vitamins daily is a win I’ll take.
The taste? Surprisingly great.

We’re having meatball stew and rice tonight.
Henry likes it. My toddler eats it.
I don’t have to sell it to anyone. That’s the kind of meal I want more of in my life.
June 3, 2025 at 12:30 AM
I’m tracking my meals starting today—not because I’m dieting, but because I want to feel like myself again.
This isn’t restriction. It’s recovery.

Food doesn’t need a cartoon on the label.
It needs to be nourishing, affordable, and calming to prep.
That’s what we’re leaning into over here. One week at a time.
June 2, 2025 at 12:30 AM
Just did the grocery haul for this week’s meal plan.
We’re keeping it simple: whole ingredients, no boxed junk, and meals I don’t dread cooking.
Autism-friendly. Budget-friendly. Mom-sanity friendly.
