This is why 2026 must become the year of AI alignment.

This output exposes a harder truth: AI systems need shared global guardrails. Now.

The question is whether governments will agree on rules before applications begin enforcing human judgments without human consensus.

Care about my 2026 AI focus area?
From 2021 to 2025, exposed fractures across the full AI stack from energy to people.
So, 2026 must be different.
For me, it’s The Year of Alignment. Watch out for my January 5 post on the rocks I intend to build with in the new year.

#AI does not end self-governance, weak institutions do. Panic serves no one. The path forward is #Transparency, #Enforcement, and #CivicResilience, so our systems stay sovereign over the tools we build. cc @politico.com and @govrondesantits.bsky.social www.politico.com/news/2025/12...
‘We have to reject that with every fiber of our being’: DeSantis emerges as a chief AI skeptic
His opposition to AI has little to do with cultural grievances or “woke” ideology — and far more to do with economic disruption, labor displacement and the scale of the technology itself.

Concerns about energy use and workforce disruption are real. But turning AI into a point of broad resistance may slow progress that could benefit everyone. AI can remain a unifying economic asset rather than a source of political division. cc @politico.com

Evidence shows enforcement capacity is essential to manage AI risk, preserve trust, and deliver public benefit. Weakening it undermines confidence at home and signals institutional unpreparedness abroad.

Aligning #AI competitiveness with civil rights enforcement isn’t ideological. It’s strategic.
Our 2025 Trends Report shows that housing discrimination complaints remain at a record high.

This @nytimes.com times article underscores what NFHA sees nationwide—growing discrimination & weakened enforcement will exacerbate the fair & affordable housing crisis: nyti.ms/49ox92f.

Thanksgiving reminds us that everyone deserves a home.
If you worked on housing AI this year, ask yourself: did my choices limit someone’s access to housing?
#AI in housing should uplift the vulnerable, not push them out of the room. #HappyThanksgiving

This week, people keep asking if I’ve “updated the #Epstein equations.”
Please no, as you can see. The basic reproduction number of my model still says the same.
My model doesn’t explain how the Epstein story keeps spreading.
