Was having a conversation with Abigail today, and we pretty much came to the conclusion that believing in god is violence against women.
The idea that god created women’s bodies to essentially have a default level of pain as a punishment, or whatever, is incredibly fucked up.

I love how people think we are the product of intelligent design and part of that design is that we accidentally shart.

I just recently learned about why the Venezuelan mission really got shut down.

If you screw up and accidentally yell “Jesus!” while visiting your TBM families this Christmas, don’t worry. Just continue yelling “lord at thy birth!”, and avoid an awkward conversation about taking the lord’s name in vain.

PSA: If someone performs a magical or supernatural act, they are either very talented at illusion and sleight of hand or had help to deceive you. The more they try to convince you otherwise the more they have to gain from fooling you. It’s always about money and power and with religion it’s both.

So, my oldest sister has had cancer for years, and my mother continues to put her name in the temple, and, yet, things stay the same or even get a little worse.
Looking back, I’m just baffled that I ever bought into any of it, and what a waste of energy praying and hoping it will affect anything is.
