I have named these "Tafoni Vessels" - after the natural formations VM created by water and wind on rocks and sand. Nature is an excellent sculptor!

This is my #encaustic and paper #sculpture made of some of my recycled projects - the 450+ "pollen balls" represent the more than 450 indigenous bees species in BC that are at risk due to loss of habitat and introduced species.

This is a large paper and #encaustic woven basket I'm currently working on for a group exhibition in June. It's hard to see the scale in this photo, but it's almost 3 feet across the top! It will hold a very large number of.....well you'll just have to wait and see what those will be #femaleartist

I have multiple bins in my studio containing encaustic bits and bobs; some were made for a project, but never used, and others are the result of reclamation, all just waiting for another chance. One of the best qualities of encaustic - it can be recycled and reused!
