Every October, I get sick. Without fail. It’s my favorite month but I always spend part of it being miserably sick. Apparently today is this year’s start. I just hope it’s not Covid, but it feels like it might be. I feel too rough to even watch movies or read. Just wanna lay here and rot.

Is it just me, or did everyone collectively lose their last brain cell this week? I went to the vet today with some sick cats. While there I learned of a case of animal cruelty against a puppy that is so evil and twisted I shall not repeat it. Tonight I went to feed one of my feral cat colonies &

Everytime I have a migraine that lasts more than a few hours, my best friend suggests taking me to the hospital because she thinks I have an aneurism. As I get older, I worry she might be right.

And…another one, this time found by my neighbor in MY back yard! Pretty sure someone dropped her off at the crazy cat lady’s house because she’s clean, friendly, and smells like perfume.

Well, we just trapped 4 cats, 2 that are visibly pregnant, and one who appeared to be lactating. Then we found these guys.

One of the kittens didn’t make it. Fading kitten syndrome. RIP Rainbow. Your life was precious. My heart is with the bottle-feeding volunteer who felt this loss greater than any of us. It’s important to keep trying though. Her siblings are still here. Mama cat is MIA.

Another Friday night sitting in my car on a dark street stalking cats. This time I’m trying to trap a young mom who gave birth yesterday to these babies. The homeowner took the kittens and then called us when it became obvious bottle-babies are hard work! I just hope mom’s still around.

It finally happened so I can confirm it’s true—black cat adoptions are up thanks to Flow! Our rescue received a request to be matched with a black cat because their 10-year-old loved the movie. Thank you, Flow, for showing people how wonderful Voids are. Black cats are the best!

So I met with a marketing guru recently to ask for ideas for recruiting volunteers/donations for the cat rescue I founded and manage. His biggest advice was to find an extrovert willing to go out and champion us. And if I couldn’t find one, I needed to channel my inner extrovert. Oh, y’all. 😂
