This is not the policy of MAGA R’s, this is the take on oversight that best aligns with their agenda this week.

Pretending this is a policy stance misses the point - they will do or say whatever is convenient at the moment.

This Republican strategy goes all the way back to the 1960s with Nixon.

This crystallizes the incredible shrinking Congress under Trump: MAGA Republicans think that public employees should not communicate with Congress even when members of Congress make clear that they want to hear from them.

Because they believe legislative oversight of Trump is fundamentally wrong.
