Yesterday I was lucky enough to be at the Wigmore Hall to see @ErrollynWallen play and Ruby Hughes sing, and it was GREAT. And it was going out live on Radio 3 so you can hear it here. A grand hour. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

Funboys on the BBC is absolutely brilliant. Love everything about it. More please! (Funboys specifically, and also comedy generally)
Please watch #FUNBOYS on bbc iPlayer. And if you like it please tell your like-minded friends. In that spirit, I also have a niche recommendation to share…a little podcast called The Rest Is Politics.
Funboys Ep 2 is here:

Funboys - Series 1: 2. Once Upon a Time in Ballymacnoose
After a gas leak at his flat, Callum moves in with Lorcan and his dad, Sammy, aka the biggest git in Ballymacnoose. Under Sammy’s tutelage, Callum finds his own inner git.

Remember when Duffy suffered a nasty media pile-on because she did a coca cola ad to pay the bills? She was just slightly ahead of her time, is all.

The Captain America trailer is trying to scare you with the idea of the president turning into a red hulk, and half the people who watch it think, cool, red hulk as president, that's a step up, can we have a red hulk please

Memory is nuts. Can't remember where I leave my laptop, but I suddenly recall the guitar tune of this song I heard ONCE in 1981. Just found it and yeah I had tune right. A very obscure song in the Ian Dury/Jonah Lewie/BA Robertson/Bill Wyman style of the time

I always like this poster on the London Underground which manages to make drinking alcohol look super-fun, which I'm pretty sure wasn't the intention

This is a great read, and also you don't get many interviews these days containing a bit about Bob Carolgees
Can’t believe it’s like a month since I had to explain to Danny Dyer why women were wanking over him in Rivals it still freaks my nut out to this day. For British GQ: www.gq-magazine.co.uk/article/dann...

I have 5 litres of fake blood i'd like to get rid of. About 70 quidsworth. What I'd *like* to do is, donate them to someone heroically making a zero-budget horror movie on a wing and a prayer. Is that u or someone u know? Who can collect from an N10 address? DMs are open!

As today's her birthday, today I remember Debbie Barham, a comedy writer of my generation who died very young. As far as I know, she was the youngest broadcast comedy writer there ever was or will be. 17 when she turned pro! www.independent.co.uk/news/obituar...
