My wife got back into reading in a serious way this year and we have now bought way too many books. Historically she's been the voice of reason but now it's fallen to me to stop us from buying more. We bought two more bookshelves this year and they're already nearly full.

Spending a week in Canada in December and we're gonna bring the puppy with us. She better start learning French.

Have been sleeping like absolute shit the last few weeks. I'm sure it's completely unrelated to everything going on in the world right now.

Am I purposefully not turning the heat on yet so the animals will be extra cuddly? Who's to say!

I finally started reading Discworld and it's really not been good for my wallet.

I regret every decision I have ever made ever in my entire life that made me think I should run one of these.

Gonna probably sign up for another one this week.
Unless I wake up with some insane issue (not impossible with my condition) I've officially made it to my first marathon. Let's hope I still enjoy running this time tomorrow.

Switching to brand new shoes for the last three weeks of this training plan was an inspired move. My legs haven't felt this good in weeks.

I think my current watch knows I ordered a new one because the GPS has been drunk the last few days.

Nothing like waking up to the puppy sleeping on my head.

I have absolutely 0 interest in college football but I do love the excitement it brings to my timeline.

In that phase of training where I can straight up feel the lactic acid draining out of my legs when I elevate them.

Having a particularly annoying week from a disease perspective. Incredibly frustrating timing with the Beach to Beacon next weekend.

I've been using the same alarm clock since middle school and I have no idea what I'll do if it eventually dies.

Can't wait to get home and see all the animals. They've been a bit of a handful according to our house sitter. Hopefully she'll be willing to watch them again next time we travel...

Any time I get served food on a plane I force myself to eat absolutely all of it no matter what. Probably the reason I always struggle to sleep on planes.

Every time I travel to Europe I find myself with the overwhelming urge to run away from all my responsibilities and move here.
June 20, 2025 at 7:04 AM
The best thing about being in Europe is all the new planes and airports I'm getting in Skycards.

It was so much fun running around Copenhagen. Awesome to be around everyone biking to work. No wonder all the happiest people live over here.
June 12, 2025 at 6:31 AM
I don't understand why everyone at the airport is always acting like it's their first day on earth.

My phone has been in a cycle of randomly turning on or off since Saturday. No idea why but I'm very annoyed.

The return of this race tomorrow. A month ago I thought I was ready. The last few weeks my body has just felt so drained. Can I even go 25k at this point?
I'm doing my first race today since Thanksgiving. It's also my first trail race since college and my first ever 25k. I have zero expectations other than slow and pain.

Boy it sure seems like Garmin has entered there "We no longer know how to make good watches and just want your money" phase, which is unfortunate because I'm still trying to find a watch to replace my FR945

Surely it's illegal for an email unsubscribe button not to do anything? I must have unsubscribed from Saucony's emails a few dozen times at this point and they just keep coming.
