The concept of apps being the main way you interact with something and a website is a cut down version that can't do everything bugs the crap out of me. It shouldn't be required to install an app to access key features, like closing an account, it should all be doable via a website as well.

There was a time where making files as small as possible was the norm, so it could fit on KB of storage or dl over slow internet. Now storage and dl speeds are huge, so less things need to be so optimised… until you're stuck with 3G/E signal and it all goes to shit 😭

When I lived in London and regularly took tube/trains to get to work, I considered making a site that would use twitr to find out which lines had suddenly ground to a holt. You could get stuck on a tube for a while that had just left the station and the tfl site would show everything was fine.

Social media like this is great for hearing about the latest things, but they end up being repetitive quickly. There's only so many times I need to hear about the latest batshit thing from over the Atlantic, after that I want to move on, not see the same thing over and over.
