Jazz on-court/off-court net ratings this season:

Warriors beat Jazz 123-114.

I thought that was an interesting one... GSW figured out how to attack Jazz D and never really looked back. It's interesting to think about how this team would look with a healthy Kessler.

Portland next.

Warriors up 119-108 on the Jazz, 4:45 left. Jazz have been trying to come back... but just cannot get any stops at all. A center rotation of Love/Filipowski is just so porous inside.
January 4, 2026 at 5:17 AM
It's cool how the Warriors at Chase Center don't play songs on every possession, which allows their fans to start chants during games
January 4, 2026 at 5:04 AM
This felt like the only way the Warriors were going to win this game: Steph Curry going berserkers. He has 18 points in the 3Q alone, going to the line for 20. 2:20 left.
January 4, 2026 at 4:48 AM
Jazz up 65-58 on the Warriors at the half.

Lauri Markkanen (21) and Keyonte George (15) are carrying the Jazz here, they've been awesome. Jazz have kept Steph in check, too, he's shooting 2-7 FG.
January 4, 2026 at 4:13 AM
Also: Steph Curry just applauded Bill Kennedy for the explanation on the coaches challenge.

Props to Jelks and Cutler for doing what a lot of refs haven't historically done and giving Green the techs he deserves, though. He's been held to a different standard on that
January 4, 2026 at 4:06 AM
Completely unserious behavior from Draymond, honestly. Wants a 3-second call, doesn't get it. Fine. But he stopped playing defense in the middle of the play, then got himself kicked out on two separate technicals. On a second quarter play with nothing building up to it.
January 4, 2026 at 4:02 AM
Draymond gets a tech for screaming at referee Simone Jelks... AND now he gets ejected by Kevin Cutler!!
January 4, 2026 at 4:00 AM
Cody Williams' confidence at a whole new level since coming back from the G-League, that was a punctuating poster over Post.

Clippers beat Jazz 118-101. Close til the 4th, when it became one team's best player was Kawhi Leonard (45 points) and the other team's best player was either Kyle Anderson (22) or Brice Sensabaugh (20) or Isaiah Collier (18/10).

Golden State up next, Saturday. See you then!
January 2, 2026 at 6:00 AM
No longer a close game, as Kawhi Leonard just decided to take over (along with some pretty iffy contests from the Jazz defense). Clippers up 105-94, 5:53 left.
January 2, 2026 at 5:45 AM
Career high 18 points for Cody Williams with 8:56 left to play. He's even 2-4 from three tonight! (Was 3-29 from deep before today.)

I know the Clippers have been playing better lately, but if they lose at home to Utah w Markkanen and George both out they need to disband
January 2, 2026 at 5:24 AM
Jazz down 82-81 going into the 4th. Neither team can really buy a three, but the Jazz are waltzing into the paint and scoring with ease anyway. The Clippers are living through mostly tough Harden/Leonard shots. Weird game.
January 2, 2026 at 5:27 AM
Jazz only down 53-50 at the half.

Kyle Anderson's been sensational: 16 points, 8 rebounds, a +17. After the worst possible start, the Jazz's second unit came in and really solidified things here.
January 2, 2026 at 4:41 AM
We have Will Hardy's second angry timeout of the game already as the Jazz are down 16-0.

The fact that the Jazz are getting just blanked in the first quarter of these road games over and over again has now circled back around to funny, after previously being just sad.

The Intuit Dome remains absolutely siiiiick, honestly think it's pretty much a must see if you're a basketball fan with the ability to travel to a road game

Celtics beat Jazz 129-119.
Keyonte George put up 37/7/6. Jusuf Nurkic had 26/8/8 on 10-11 FG, his best Jazz game. Four players were +/- positive: George, Nurk, Markkanen, Hendricks.
Sensabaugh really struggled... 2-9 FG, but still played 39 minutes. Svi was a DNP-CD.
December 31, 2025 at 4:20 AM
Jazz up 64-59 on the Celtics at the half. Keyonte George has 23.

Legitimately trying to think of what All-Star he's playing most like now. Book maybe? Maxey?
December 31, 2025 at 3:09 AM
Keyonte George isn't just better than he was last season, he's better than he was last month. 15 points in 1Q.

He's averaging 27/7/5 on 64% true shooting this month. A super high level of play.

This *may* be just a tonight thing, I do not know, but:

For the first time this season, there is no overhead cable cam in front of me at the Delta Center, nor no cable cam operator to my left. It appears to have been removed?

A proposed anti-tanking measure I heard recently that I think I like?

Split the national TV revenue unevenly so that top teams make more than bad teams.

So right now, each team makes about $230M/yr. Instead do a sliding scale where top teams make $350M and bottom make $110M.

Cunningham gets the 3 up over Collier, but it's missed wide left! Jazz beat the East-leading Pistons 131-129.

Keyonte George (31) and Lauri Markkanen (30) combine for 61.

Win moves the Jazz to 11-19 and into a tie for 11th in the West. 9th in the tank race now.
