What is an amoeba that it can eat a brain? What is a brain that it can be eaten by an amoeba?
Question for microbiologists (or others) regarding conventions for naming isolated strains of microbes. 2 strains of amoeba isolated from human cases of meningitis in the 1960s were named HB-1 and HB-3. My guess is 'H' stands for Hartmannella or Human and 'B' for Butt, the scientist responsible?
