True when running a half-marathon, perhaps. But chronic pain leads to the largest decrease in quality of life of ANY chronic disease. And it is expensive if it cannot or is not treated properly. We need to do very much better with the tools we have available - there are no silver bullets.

Anyone understand the link between Elton John and Marmite. I love both, but that's probably not it.

Huge trial in Nature Medicine shows efficacy of THC-containing cannabis extract for chronic pain. Randomised, double blind, 800 patients with embedded EERW trial to boot. Kudos to trialists for including >50% pain relief with BOCF imputation. NNT=11 - benefits - one person in 11 could benefit.

doi.org/10.1007/s005.... RCT of THC:CBD for symptom control in advanced cancer. Meaningful reduction in symptom score of ≥6/10 in 45% on THC:CBD, but 49% on placebo. A 1:1 THC:CBD cannabis oil combo was no better than palliative care alone in palliating symptoms in advanced cancer.

Important study from an FDA lab. Randomised healthy adults to CBD or placebo and looked at liver enzymes over 35 days. By 35 days, 6% had liver enzymes elevated beyond 3x upper limit of normal. That's without the other poisons often found in commercial CBD.

Terrific study of entire Danish population examining exposure to aluminium in vaccines in first 2 years with later development of a range of medical problems, including autism etc. More than 1.2 million children were followed up (AIM July 15). Lower incidence if anything.
