"A request made through ChatGPT, an AI-based virtual assistant, consumes 10 times the electricity of a Google Search"

This isn't a game. This is accelerated destruction via huge usage of power, water, resources etc. Stop using it - especially for messing about!!

AI has an environmental problem. Here’s what the world can do about that.
The sprawling data centres that house AI servers churn out toxic electronic waste and are voracious consumers of electricity, which in most places is still produced from fossil fuels.

Astronomy friends, what night sky events are you looking forward to in 2025? 🔭

In 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 we've got 2 lovely total lunar eclipses (14 Mar & 7 Sept) and a 40% partial solar eclipse (29 Mar).
I'm also super excited about Saturn temporarily losing it's rings in March 🤓

Not the best article since the statement about keeping Moult and Dalby fit is already out of date.

BBC Sportsound hopeless can't even have the person at the game say the correct scorer of a penalty. English knew Dalby top scorer but others didn't and didn't know he was on loan.

35.4% increase in fees over the next few years?
Behaving like Thames Water towards teachers while contributing a set of standards that demand overwork of teachers while asking nothing of employers with respect to resources and support?
Not good.

If any of you know any TRAINEE SCIENCE TEACHERS and would like to send them a FREE Kindle edition of my book "Why Don't Things Fall Up?", let me know. It's been reviewed positively by lots of teachers and teacher trainers and I'm sure would be useful to anyone starting out as a science teacher.
