My friend @andrewjparsons.bsky.social on what it is like working in an industry that is clearly experiencing a bubble. His experience was in podcasting, but there was a lot of this in digital journalism over the last two decades — all abruptly ending in recent years.

I wrote a thing
Slow Burn producer @andrewjparsons.bsky.social saw his show become a hit + a boom in podcast investing

By 2023, the industry was shrinking. Ad revenue + Hollywood IP acquisitions declined + everyone was getting laid off. "The podcast bubble had finally popped"

Hey NYC peeps -- do you know anyone who buys parts for old TVs? I've been getting some old TV consoles and just using the furniture parts. So I have old TV screens that might be useful to people who restore TVs but haven't found many companies in the NYC area. Any ideas?

I like Jarrett Allen. NBA big man who not only plays like a big man but seems to be gleeful about it.

😃 "Yeah, gimme that rebound! Sure, I'll block that dude's shot! Imma take the ball and slam dunk it very hard! This is NEAT!"
