Found this treehopper (Calloconophora pinguis) guarding her eggs! She will later defend her hatched offspring against predators. So cool to see maternal care in insects!

New paper out today!

We studied the environmental conditions at two sponge (🧽) grounds on the northern Labrador Shelf (NE Canada).

We find that sponges and associated fauna benefit from strong tidal currents and favorable regional ocean currents.
