A brilliant actor, poet and musician! The tragic accidental death of Malcolm-Jamal Warner has left me in shock. ‘Mal’ and I only met a few years ago, but we had a wonderful collaboration. For the program w/the Minnesota Orchestra he was commissioned to write a poem about Juneteenth. Powerful! R.I.P.

Berlin review from Taz. “The concert marks conductor Andre’ Raphel’s debut with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin. He leads both Montgomery and Mendelssohn without a score. Thanks to his clear and dynamic direction, the Reformation Symphony feels anything but worn out.”
