Friends, it is once again that time of the year when I ask for your help in traveling to a DNC Meeting. From December 11th - 13th, the DNC will convene in Los Angeles! And I can tell you one thing for sure that is going to be top of mind for me - the 2028 Presidential Primary Calendar. 1/

This shutdown is the first time in the entire Trump administration that I have felt @democrats.senate.gov and @schumer.senate.gov rose to the occasion and met the moment we’re in. Folding now and giving up healthcare for millions when we just won a blue wave election is appalling malpractice.
Any “deal” that ends with Dems just getting a pinky promise in return is a mistake.
The American people are suffering because Republicans refuse to stop healthcare costs from skyrocketing. An agreement that doesn’t fix that reality falls massively short.

It feels to me like #atxcouncil did not have the political capital needed to marshal progressives after burning so much of it to pass the police contract that did a lot to put us into this budget mess in the first place. And thanks to the #txlege, now everything will see cuts EXCEPT for APD.

To paraphrase someone, in the 2028 primary, the mainstream position is going to begin with “abolish ICE.”

While I do think Andor should sweep and win basically everything it’s in, especially for S02E08 Who Are You, the lack of acting nominations is just yet another example of how acting in genre work is considered less-than.
