I underestimated the value of having school within walking distance. In the 10 min round trip, I get to say hi to 5-10 families + our crossing guard. Small but impactful community connections. #toronto #community

My 5yo says he wants a Cyber Truck bc a YouTuber he likes had one in a video + he thought it was cool. I said that he can spend his money however he wants when he's older, but those decisions have impact + we, his moms, don't support that company bc the boss of Cyber Trucks is evil (cont'd)

At our fave resort in Mexico + happy to see so many queer folks this time around: young tattooed 30-somethings, two mom families, older white gays.
It’s cold + windy here too, but at least it’s not -20C + we don’t have to work.

Often the only opportunity I get to listen to a whole album top to bottom is on a plane. Yesterday’s flight made more enjoyable by SZA’s SOS, Billie Ellish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft, Cat Burns’ Early Twenties.

Just watched Keke Palmer + Chris Pratt in an ad for the Monopoly app while playing another game on my phone. Is this where all the ad money is going? Because they’re very effective ads. Not the Monopoly necessarily, but in-game ads as a whole.

My 5yo’s favourite thing is Plants vs. Zombies. Yes, the video game. For Christmas, he wants PvZ stuff that’s only available in China bc only in China is there a substantial fan base for this stuff, so here I am on Dec. 2, wondering if my AliExpress or Temu orders will arrive in time. 🤷🏻♀️

The gastro bug is nasty. In addition to the, um, usual gross symptoms, there can be a sudden thunderclap headache and/or sharp body pains. That's what H had last night + it resulted in an ambulance call, CT scans, bloodwork, the whole shebang. She OK, but boy, it was scary. Wash your hands y'all!

My current sleep routine is putting on a Sally Rooney audiobook and drifting into sweet slumber to the sound of Irish accents + not-too-exciting plot (in a good way). 10/10 recommend.
