After one week, my manuscript is sitting at 37k words, about a quarter of which were recycled from an earlier draft and edited. I'm really enjoying playing at being a full time writer — pls buy my books so I don't have to find a proper job, thx.

April is #AutismAwareness month and, as well as publishing my first book with an openly autistic character (THE WOMAN ON PLATFORM 8), I've also penned a feature on how my own neurodivergence benefits my writing in Writer's Magazine.

Reading back through my latest WIP and keep coming across 70 year-old Bill's wife. She's been referred to as Elsie, Alice and now Mabel,and I'm not even a third of the way through reading it 🙈. This is why first drafts don't get published.

I think the time has come for Arsenal to make an official complaint against Oliver. I didn't comment at the time because I was fuming and needed to calm down. This cannot be ignored any longer. He has an agenda when it comes to Arsenal. The evidence here, and in other games, is plain to see.

I had the ultimate "I really do have ADHD" moment this morning. Whilst prepping tomorrow's Christmas dinner, I had to stop 5 minutes in and hunt for a screwdriver to tighten the loose pan handle, before then emptying the dustbin, and filling the sink with hot water.

As someone who is autistic, routine is essential for my life, but the ADHD side of my brain often likes to abandon that routine. But today I achieved everything on my list, and the mindfulness techniques I've been practicing means I've enjoyed so many aspects of it.

Today has been a very good day! I added another 2k words to my latest writing project, put up the outdoor Christmas lights, and made great progress on a project at work.
