A Registered Report by Batruch et al aimed to replicate 35 key hypotheses from 17 correlational and five experimental studies using quota-based or probability samples from the U.S., France, Switzerland, and India.

Social class is assumed to be associated with many different individual outcomes and behaviours. This Registered Report aimed to replicate 35 key hypotheses from 17 correlational and 5 experimental studies using quota-based or probability samples.

In a long-term study of German youth, first-generation students who attended university became slightly more risk-averse. However, traits like conscientiousness, agreeableness, and openness developed similarly to peers from similar backgrounds who didn’t pursue higher education.
