This is a book by Brazilian creator Nani Brunini. I believe it was originally published in Portugal, making its way to us here in the US in 2023, through Tapioca Stories. The book is phenomenal—so smart!

During the dictatorship in Brazil, principals were threatened with jail time if they didn’t report teachers who were against the regime. Those of us who have lived through a dictatorship can identify the signs.
