There was a “re-weaver” in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. She did INCREDIBLE work. She could fix anything. She didn’t charge much and it was always flawless. She died a decade (?) ago and the shop closed. I think about her and her work all of the time. I wish I knew what she knew.

When I get overwhelmed with the state of the world, I close in on what I can actually DO. I still advocate for those families in my kids’ former schools. I work for the people in my neighborhood. I work for my kids’ friends and their health. I do my best for my immediate community.
