I'm just your average queer book dragon. If I'm not working, I'm probably on my couch reading while listening to music. I'm forced to do anything else 🤷‍♀️

New ARC review!
November 3, 2025 at 6:50 PM
This weekend, I discovered one of the obscure, local TV stations airs Xena: Warrior Princess every day. My closeted, teenage self is very excited. But my openly queer self is also very excited!

I was given the opportunity to read this book as an ARC reader. This marks ARC read #7 for me for the year and I have yet to be disappointed in any of them.

This is the 2nd book of the series but my first by this author. I may go back and read the first book soon. It can be read as a standalone.

Finished Mob's Seduction by @alysonrootauthor.bsky.social and it's another winner! Something I don't recall in the hundreds and hundreds of books I've read in my lifetime? An author, essentially, poking fun at their own work 😆 The references to her other books within this book made me chuckle

Jumped into another book series this week. Technically, jumped back in. I read Not Just Gal Pals by @elizabethluly.bsky.social almost a year ago. I knew of the second book in the Sapphire Springs series, Novel Problems, but I was in a "read for the season" kind of era.

I'm being a passenger princess on a 12 hour drive today. While waiting for laundry to finish so I could pack last night, I started reading Nobody in Particular by Sophie Gonzalez and made it exactly halfway through before going to bed last night. I finished it in about 4 hours.

I devoured To the Grave by Kylie Cross over the past 2 days. It's the 3rd book in the Killer Queens trilogy. I didn't reread the first 2 books simply because I have been shivering with anticipation over this book for nearly 4 months. Also the other 2 books are almost 1000 pages total.

I read a book called Risking Immortality by @alysonrootauthor.bsky.social at the beginning of this year and it was the first 5 ⭐ title of the year for me. Loved it! Bought the 2nd book, Waiting for Eternity, immediately only to see that a 3rd, Fighting for Infinity, was coming out soon thereafter.

My friend and I started exchanging inappropriate stickers. We're practically dating at this point 😆

Damn you, Stuff Your Kindle Day! I added so many more books to my TBR! It's never going to get under 180 at this point 😬😆

My TBR is perpetually at 180 titles regardless of how much I read 🤷‍♀️

When Iris Kelly Doesn't Date by Ashley Herring Blake was released, I bought it the day I saw it. I read binged at least half of it that night. And then stayed up too late the next night to finish it. I was dragging ass at work the following morning, but it was worth it.

I'm currently reading this book. I loved Felix Ever After and waited to start this until after book 2 was available. I knew going in I would be reading about queer characters, likely POC. I wasn't expecting the gender fluidity.

I read Because Fat Girl by Lauren Marie Fleming over the past few days. It wasn't what I was expecting when I bought it. I try to read books that have atypical main characters. In this case, Diana Smith is a fat queer women trying to make it in Hollywood. Her own description of herself.

This country is becoming unrecognizable. What we’re seeing is state-funded fear. We’ve warned people: keep filming, go live on social media so these moments are documented and shared. This wasn’t a case involving masked ICE agents—but that’s happening too.

Downloaded Skylight social... Since TikTok is very unreliable at the moment. Not really one to actually post videos but who knows... Maybe I'll come out of my shell a little 🤷‍♀️

Rewatching the original Hunger Games movies after I started reading Sunrise on the Reaping. It really expands on the original story quite a bit. Probably going to have to reread the original trilogy after I finish this book and get a new perspective.

I read the first 2 books in this series based on a random recommendation from an online group and I was not disappointed. I waited patiently for this final book in this trilogy and I could not have been more satisfied. The books are actually standalones so don't need to be read in any particular way

Very good first release from author Elee Rose. The chemistry between Fallon and Mackenzie was obvious from the start and it jumps off the pages! I loved seeing the connection between them grow as the story went on. Very exciting and steamy! Looking forward to the rest of the series!
