Just a middle-age pink and pasty woman who is here to listen. I really don’t have much to say, but I will tell you about books I liked.
The conclusion was satisfying. And The Hero of Ages didn’t have the unidentifiable for me thing missing from the 1st two books. 3.5 stars for 1-2, and 4.75 for book three. I would read this again.

3.75⭐️ Alternative historical fiction fantasy in an indigenous voice. Plus 🐉! While I enjoyed reading this, and will read the next in the series, I am hoping our FMC is less “perfect” and has to go through some growth or challenges that actually seem to challenge her.

Definite 1999 The Mummy vibes But not just a fluffy read. Addresses issues about colonization, colonialism, misogyny and patriarchy in the time period. Loved reading Empire of Shadows by Jacquelyn Benson. Can’t wait for the next in the series.
