I remind myself that my grandparents survived the brutal Biafran war in Nigeria with my mom + her siblings.

My grandma and mother fled literal bombs, bounced from house to house, and ate what they could catch in the forest.

So many of our forebears faced worse, with less.

How can I be afraid?
