Folk Floral Mind Mosaic, 9x12”, watercolor. This folky mind mosaic was inspired by East Coast winters. I was thinking about dried burdock, and how everything seems to turn brown and desaturated. I was also thinking about animal tracks in the snow, seeds awaiting spring, and dormant plants.

Folk Floral Mind Mosaic, 16x16”, watercolor. Pondering winter in the high desert with this painting. Each stroke intuitive and carries a little emotion. Winter for me is a time to go inward, feel, rest, and reconnect to myself. Painting is such a therapeutic way of practicing this. #Art #Denver

I woke up happy (reference the previous post 😹) and thought I would share a painting full of joy for this Friday. This painting feels very playful, and my hope is that it energizes your mind and inspires play as your eyes flow through the composition.

Bugs Life Mind Mosaic, 9”x11”, watercolor. As a kid I spent a lot of time creatively making my own fun outside. I loved making bug houses out of sticks, stones, leaves, and other natural materials. I would then find bugs to put in the house and watch them interact with the little home.
