This is the time of the year that I reflect on how quick kids grow up. Mine have been out of the house for years. One isn't even in this country. I miss doing all the holiday things with them. Grateful for friends and their kids!

This post is something I've wanted to say but was too afraid or embarrassed. His name is Ilalio “Numi” Funumiai Jr. He was a sergent at the halfway house in Juneau, Alaska who sexually assaulted me. He was never held accountable.

And when I want to be consumed by by frustration, I look up Alaska court cases disposed.
As a formally incarcerated woman in Alaska, seeing charges like this dismissed while I sat in jail with women in for non-violent crimes, disgusts me.
