New food source for Ornate Sunbird (Cinnyris ornatus). Feeding on nectar of Euphorbia coalcomanensis. Called ‘Little Bird Flower’ as inflorescence is shaped like a bird.

This is another great example of the work that Ft. Lauderdale's South Florida Wildlife Center is doing to support wildlife in the South Florida area. Such a great team of folks working to repair and rehabilitate animals that find themselves in need for one reason or another.

Pleased with 2025 observation of a juvenile Black-thighed Falconet (M. fringillarius) in a tree hole nest. Parents not concerned with me (deemed me harmless). Juvenile had just been fed & was quite curious about me - "Is he edible & tasty?".
